Can multiple users co-capture the same space simultaneously using Galois?

Yes, Realsee’s Co-Capture feature allows multiple users to scan the same space using separate Galois devices, either at the same time or individually.

👥 When to use Co-Capture?

This feature is especially useful for:

  • Large-scale spaces that require more coverage.
  • Projects on a tight schedule, where simultaneous capturing helps save time.

⚙️ How it works:

  • Each participant uses a separate Galois device to scan different areas of the same space.
  • After scanning, the individual projects can be merged in the Realsee Console to generate a merged project.

⚠️ Important notes:

  • Only projects captured with Galois are supported for merging.
  • Co-Capture does not require scans to happen at the same time — merging can be done after all captures are complete.
  • You can merge up to 10 projects, with a total maximum of 3,000 capture points.

🧩 Merging requirement:

All projects involved in the merge must have at least one overlapping area.

  • This overlapping section must be on the same floorcross-floor overlaps are not supported.
  • We recommend planning the overlapping area in advance during on-site capture to ensure a successful merge.
